Our wooden trays are typically made from bamboo and should be placed in a dry location. While bamboo is naturally water resistant, prolonged exposure will eventually cause molding. Soap can build up on the soap deck over time so you can use a scrub brush to periodically clean out the grooves. In between soap bars, allow it to fully air dry on a dry towel.
Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial, but if you need to clean your soap dish, clean with vinegar or lemon essential oil. It is not recommended to put in the dishwasher. Over time, you may want to wax or oil your dishes to increase their life.
