Vegetable Bag (Moist Storage)
- Hearty vegetables (celery, beets, broccoli, cabbage) go on the bottom.
- Delicate vegetables (cucumbers, peppers, asparagus) go near the zipper.
- Place rinsed veggies in bag while still wet.
- One third of the bag should look visibly wet.
- Store in the crisper drawer. Re-wet as needed under faucet or with spray bottle.
Leafy Greens Bag (Moist Storage)
- Rinse hearty greens (kale, romaine, chard), shake off excess.
- Spray delicate greens (spring mix, arugula, cilantro).
- Place moist greens in bag and zip closed.
- One third of the bag should look visibly wet.
- Store in the crisper drawer. Re-wet as needed under faucet or with spray bottle.
Berry Bag (Dry Storage)
- Remove any berries that are bruised or molding.
- Place unwashed berries in bag and zip closed.
- Store strawberries and blueberries together.
- Keep raspberries and blackberries in bottom half of the original packaging.
- Store on fridge shelf or in the low-humidity drawer.
- Rinse before eating.
Mushroom Bag (Dry Storage)
- Place unwashed mushrooms in bag and zip closed.
- Store on fridge shelf or in low-humidity drawer.
- Rinse or wipe before cooking.
- Use within two weeks or less.
Fresh Herb Bag | Moist Storage
- Remove any wilted, yellowing, or slimy leaves before storing.
- Rinse herbs if needed, then gently shake off excess water.
- For delicate herbs, lightly mist the herbs or moisten the inside of the bag.
- Place herbs loosely inside and zip closed.
- The bag should feel lightly moist, not soaking wet.
- Store in the crisper drawer or a cool area of the fridge.
- Re-wet as needed with a spray bottle or a quick pass under the faucet.
Best for: cilantro, parsley, dill, mint, chives, tarragon, and leafy garden herbs.
Note: Basil is naturally more cold-sensitive than most herbs and is often best stored at room temperature in water rather than in the refrigerator.
